Monitor Color Test
Fill your screen with solid colors, gradients, and gray steps to find dead pixels, stuck pixels, backlight bleed, and color banding.
Or start from any pattern below. Use ← → or Space to switch and Esc to exit. On a touch screen, tap the right side to go on and the left side to go back.
What to look for
Dead pixels
On white, look for tiny dots that stay black.
Stuck pixels
On black, red, green, and blue, look for dots that stay lit in one color.
Backlight bleed
On black in a dark room, look for bright patches along the edges and corners.
Uniformity
On white and 50% gray, look for darker areas, tinted patches, or a smudged look.
Banding
On the gradients, look for visible stripes instead of one smooth blend.
Black and white levels
On the steps, most boxes should look different. If the darkest or brightest ones merge, adjust brightness and contrast.
Clean the screen first so dust isn't mistaken for a pixel. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
