Summary

• Glance shows public Google Trends keywords on your phone. There is no Glance account and no Glance backend.
• The app fetches public RSS feeds from Google Trends and opens news links you tap.

1. Who we are

This policy describes how the Glance Android app (“Glance”, “we”) handles information. Contact: tjdaxmail@gmail.com.

2. Information we do not collect

Glance does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email, phone number, or other identity details for an account (there is no sign-up)
• Precise GPS location (the app does not request location permission)
• Contacts, call logs, SMS, photos, or files from your device
• Trend history to a Glance server — there is no Glance server

3. Trend data and news

Glance requests public Google Trends RSS feeds for the country you select. Google may see your IP address as with any website request. News articles open in an in-app browser at the publisher’s URL. Those publishers have their own privacy policies.

Google Trends terms and privacy policies apply to that data source.

4. Settings stored on the device

Selected country and category tags are stored in app preferences on this phone. Uninstalling Glance removes those preferences.

5. Advertising

Glance shows a Google AdMob banner at the bottom of the screen. When ads are requested, Google AdMob and related Google advertising services may process:

• Advertising ID
• Device and app information
• IP address and coarse location derived from IP
• Ad interaction data

Google handles ad data under its own policies:

• Google Privacy Policy
• How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in Android settings.

6. Internet access

The INTERNET permission is used for Google Trends RSS, news pages, and ads. Glance does not work fully offline.

7. Children’s privacy

Glance is intended for users aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data retention and deletion

On-device preferences remain until you uninstall Glance. Advertising data retained by Google is subject to Google’s retention practices. To request help about this policy, email tjdaxmail@gmail.com.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Continued use of Glance after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
